Harry Cannon.
Initially studying Hypnotherapy,NLP and Counselling in the 1980's and 1990's during his military service, Harry then went on to become certified through the UK's Hypnotherapy Control Board in Hypnotherapy and Hypno-Analysis (Psychodynamic Psychotherapy incorporating hypnosis). He later became (by invitation only) a registered practicianer of the International Association of Hypno-Analysts (IAH). During his membership to the IAH he was honoured by the association by being offered a seat on their council of management. This was in recognition of his dedication to the association and the help he constantly offered his fellow members.
After further study, Harry went on to become a member of the 'National Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists', where he held the the position of Vice-President until 2015. Harry was awarded a Fellowship by the NRAH for his work in furthering the public face of Hypnotherapy in general and the NRAH in particular.
In 2007 Harry was once again honoured, this time by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association of the United States of America (IMDHA) by being awarded a life membership to the association in recognition of his tireless work in forwarding the ethical use of Hypnotherapy.
Harry is also a graduate of the Listening Ear Foundation and as such is also qualified in Active Listening skills and Counselling.
NRAH President
David Reeves.
David has been in private practice as a Psychoanalyst, Hypnotherapist since 1991, and as a Stress Management Consultant since 1994. He is the head of a thriving Harley Street practice and has another practice in Swindon, Wiltshire. He also spends time training and working in the USA.
Before moving into the field of Hypnotherapy and Stress, his background was in the commercial sector reaching the level of Managing Director.
David has undergone extensive training in both the UK and the USA in numerous aspects of Psychology, Psycho-sexual problems, Hypnosis and Stress Management/PTSD.
He has taken part in BBC and local Wiltshire radio programs and is a registered tutor with two charities, SCOPE, Learning for Life and The Institute for Learning, lecturing in various aspects of Psychology, Hypnosis and Stress.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, a Fellow of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, and a lifelong member of the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association (USA). He is also a freeman of the city of London.
NRAH Chairman Scotland
David Taylor.
David is a founding member of the NRAH and is an NRAH accredited tutor. He was appointed NRAH chairman for Scotland in 2005. In 2017 David was made a Fellow of the NRAH in recognition of his enless work and support for the register. He practices from offices in Dunfermline and at Perth Royal Infirmary. David’s work includes working with athletes and business people in a personal coaching role as well as running NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner Training in Scotland.
David is the Principle of the training school Power-2-Change. He is also a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) Accredited member, the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), the National Guild of Hypnotists (USA) and the Society of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
NRAH Regional Meetings Coordinator
Kathleen Phythian
Kathleen's interest in psychology began in the 1980's and the more she studied the more fascinated she became. She then went on to become certified through the UK's Hypnotherapy Control Board in Hypnotherapy and Hypno-Analysis and then qualified with The Corporation of Advanced Hypnotherapists and The Atkinson Ball College of Hypnotherapy and Hypnohealing. She is committed to ongoing training and with twenty years experience is the longest established hypnotherapist in Liverpool's Rodney Street, the Harley Street of the North. Kathleen has been a member of the N.R.A,H since the late nineties and in 2006 was asked to join the Management Team and was duly appointed to the post of regional meetings coordinator and awarded life membership.
Outside of hypnotherapy Kathleen is also an author and illustrator, she works frequently with many different charitable organisations and is a border collie enthusiast. She has rescued and rehabilitated fifteen collies to date and fostered many more.
NRAH Press and Communication’s Officer
Peter Moule.
Peter is an NRAH accredited tutor and was appointed NRAH Press and Communications officer in 2008. He specialises in Hypnosis for Sports Enhancement, and is also a Trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming. Training with Dr Richard Bandler the co-creator of NLP and his associates have resulted in qualifications of Practitioner of NLP, Master Practitioner of NLP, and Trainer of NLP.
Peter’s background is that of planning, leading and executing Police operations, the coaching of sprint and marathon flat water kayak, performing as a national and international official for kayaking, and the training of St John Ambulance personnel. Each branch involves the building and leading of individuals and teams to the best of their ability, thereby maximizing their true potential.
Peter is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine and a Fellow of the Association for Professional Hypnosis & Psychotherapy.
NRAH Accredited CPD Course Assessor
David Kato. PhD
David was appointed to the NRAH management team in 2005. He is a clinical hypnotherapist / psycho-analyst, and works at the Bristol Hypnotherapy Depression Clinic which specializes in clinical depression, major depressive disorder (MDD), uni-polar depression and bi-polar disorders, anti-natal and post-natal depression, other co-morbid mental health conditions and anxiety disorders, OCD, and psychological disorders during pregnancy.
David is an NRAH accredited Advanced Trainer and a recognised UK expert on depressive disorders. He provides seminars and lectures to medical departments in universities, hospitals and to varied clinicians and physicians in the UK, USA and Bahrain. He also presents workshops and seminars at the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association & the International Association of Counsellor’s & Therapists, both in the USA.
David’s membership associations include the Academy for Continued Hypnosis Education - Vice President, the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association (Fellow), the Association For Professional Hypnosis & Psychotherapy, the General Hypnotherapy Register and the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapists
